Each piece is glazed in your choice of formal black or an assortment of glorious coloured emamels and is decorated with a solid brass or stainless steel knob. The Staub La Cocotte works on all cook-tops, including INDUCTION and is available in a wide range of round or oval sizes, from the decorative ).25 L Mini Cocottes to a family sized 8 L pot.

Self-Basting spikes create a continuous natural basting cycle. Moisture collects on the lid, condenses on the spikes and falls evenly throughout the dish creating a tender, flavourful meal.
Due to the superior construction of the Staub Cocotte lids, less humidity can escape during the cooking process. 10% more moisture is retained inside the Staub cocotte after 55 minutes cooking time than in products from competitors.

The self basting system consisting of distributed spikes over the whole inside flat lid ensures a continuous rainfall effect over the food inside the cocotte. The Staub self basting system in the lid is 9 times more effective than conventional lids. |

A special black matte enamel combined with the thick even cast iron construction makes the Staub La Cocotte ideal for braising, browning, caramelizing or reducing sauces. This unique surface absorbs fat and oils from the cooking material which then creates its "non-stick" properties over time. |

Every La Cocotte has a consistent smooth enamel base coat to prevent surface scratches, is easy to clean and is compatible with all heat sources except microwave ovens. |
