Gourmet du Village French Onion Baked Goat Cheese

 

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 the contents of the pouch of GOURMET DU VILLAGE FRENCH ONION SEASONING
  • 1 X 150 g. (5 oz. ) soft unripened goat's milk cheese
  • 5 ml (1 tsp) lemon juice
  • 5 ml (1 tsp) olive oil
  • 15 ml (1 Tbsp) cooked crumbled bacon
  • 1/2 the contents of the pouch of the GOURMET DU VILLAGE DRIED BREADCRUMBS TOPPINGS

Preparation:

  1. Preheat oven to 180˚C (350˚F)
  2. Blend the cheese, seasonings and lemon juice. Gather the mixture into a ball, using a piece of plastic wrap, shape the mixture into a log of about 10 cm (4") long.
  3. Pour the olive oil onto a plate. Mix the bacon and breadcrumbs, and put onto a second plate. Roll the cheese log first in the olive oil to coat it on all sides, then into the breadcrumb mixture. Coat well.
  4. Transfer into a Gourmet du Village Goat Cheese Baker, cover with lid and bake in pre-heated oven for 15-20 minutes.
  5. Serve with slices of French baguette bread, bite size pieces of crispy romaine lettuce along with grapes and apple slices.
