Gourmet du Village Vanilla & Coconut Baked Goat Cheese

 

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 the contents of the pouch of GOURMET DU VILLAGE VANILLA SEASONING
  • 1 X 150 g. (5 oz. ) soft unripened goat's milk cheese
  • 2.5 ml (1/2 tsp) orange zest
  • 1/2 the contents of the pouch of the GOURMET DU VILLAGE TOASTED COCONUT TOPPINGS

Preparation:

  1. Preheat oven to 180˚C (350˚F)
  2. Blend the cheese, vanilla seasonings and orange zest. Gather the mixture into a ball, using a piece of plastic wrap, shape the mixture into a log of about 10 cm (4") long.
  3. Spread the coconut toppings on a plate. Roll the cheese log in the coconut until it is coated on all sides.
  4. Transfer into a Gourmet du Village Goat Cheese Baker, cover with lid and bake in pre-heated oven for 10-12 minutes.
  5. Serve with fresh fruit and plain cookies such as Graham or Digestives. Try it drizzled with honey just before serving. For a lovely dessert plate, serve warm cheese mixture sliced over a half pear, sprinkled with slivered almonds and drizzled with warm honey.
