The pan's overall design was influenced by chefs who tested its functionality in their own professional kitchens. These chefs provided essential feedback that steered our design choices. From the thickness of the cooking surface to the angle of the handle, all aspects of the pan were considered.

LIKE LODGE CAST IRON;
  • The steel pans are made in the USA.
  • The steel pans are seasoned with all-natural soybean oil in our seasoning line at Lodge Cast Iron.
  • The steel pans are black in color as a result of the Logic seasoned finish.
  • The steel pans can withstand and maintain very high temperatures, such as professional gas ranges and campfires, making them great for searing.
  • The steel pans can also maintain very low temperatures, making them highly effective and versatile.
  • The cooking surface only gets better with use as it acquires natural non-stick properties.
  • The surface is also safe to use with metal objects, such as knives, forks or spatulas.
  • Great for all heating sources including induction, gas, electric, salamander, broiler, oven and campfire.
  • Cleaning and maintenance are the same for Lodge Seasoned Steel and Lodge Cast Iron.

  • The steel pans are thinner and therefore lighter.
  • The thinner cooking surface of the steel pans heat faster when applied to heat source.
